#104: Living a Less-Stressed life

Do you want a stress-free life, or do you want a less-stressed life? They are not the same and we’re unpacking that in this episode.

 

 

The notion of a stress-free life implies that things will always be calm – like a neighborhood man-made pond. That’s boring. Motherhood is not calm. It is chaotic, beautiful, full of joy and laughter and pain, evolving, and it will challenge all of your insecurities. And when you are trying to live a stress-free life, you miss out on the opportunity for growth waiting to happen because you’re focused on controlling everything to stay stress-free.

In this episode, I invite you to accept and normalize stress as being a part of life, not because you’re terrible at managing it but because it just is. Only then will you be able to expand your capacity to manage and reduce stress, without making yourself wrong in the process. That, my friend, is living a less-stressed life. And it’s waiting with your name on it.
